Print positions on a hoodie

• The hood lies flat across the top of the back, so back prints sit below it — a full back print starts just under the hood and has plenty of room for a large logo or crew name
• A full front print sits above the kangaroo pocket — keep tall artwork in mind, or use the chest instead
• Chest, sleeve and lower back all print normally

Print & care

We print with DTF (direct-to-film) — full colour, no colour limit, no setup fee. Our transfers are tested for 50+ washes when pressed and cared for as directed.

• Wash inside out, cold or warm (max 40°C), gentle cycle
• No bleach, no fabric softener on the print
• Hang dry, or tumble dry low
• Iron inside out only — never directly on the print
• Leave 24 hours before the first wash

Artwork

• Best files: PNG with a transparent background, or vector — AI, EPS, PDF or SVG. These print exactly as supplied
• JPGs, screenshots and photos of a logo are still accepted. If the background has to be cut out an artwork fee may apply — we always quote before we start and you can approve or decline
• Text only — a business name, staff names or a slogan? Type it into the notes on this page and we set it for free
• 300 DPI at the final print size
• Minimum line thickness 0.5 mm so fine detail holds
• White in your artwork prints as white ink — if you want the garment colour to show through, make it transparent
• Up to 20 MB per file through the uploader; larger files, just email them

Size guide

All measurements in centimetres. Chest is a half-chest measurement — taken across the garment laid flat, not around your body.

Blue Whale makes this hoodie in XS–3XL and 5XL — there is no 4XL in the range, so if you sit between the two, 5XL is the next size up. Blue Whale publishes a chest measurement for this style and not a body length. If you need the length before you commit, email us and we will measure one off the shelf for you.

How to measure: lay a hoodie you already wear flat. Measure straight across from side seam to side seam, 2.5 cm below where the sleeve meets the body — that is the half-chest. A fleecy hoodie is worn over a tee or polo, so this is a roomy fit by design.
