Terms of Service

These terms apply to every order placed with DTF motion through dtfmotion.com.au. By placing an order you agree to them. Please read the section on artwork and intellectual property in particular — it puts real obligations on you.

1. Who we are

DTF motion is a custom printing business operating from Adelaide, South Australia. Contact: hello@dtfmotion.com.au.

2. Orders

An order placed through our website is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we accept your order, which happens when we confirm your artwork and begin production — not simply when payment is taken. If we cannot fulfil an order, we will tell you and refund you in full.

We may decline or cancel an order at any time before production, including where artwork breaches section 4, where a product or size has become unavailable from our supplier, or where a pricing error is obvious.

3. Prices and payment

All prices are in Australian dollars and are shown on the product page. Any applicable taxes and the shipping cost are shown at checkout before you pay. Payment is taken in full at the time of ordering.

Quantity discounts apply automatically at the thresholds published on our site. Discount codes cannot be combined with automatic quantity discounts — whichever gives you the larger saving applies.

Where a file needs rebuilding or redrawing before it can be printed, an artwork fee may apply. We always quote that fee before we start, and you can approve or decline it.

4. Your artwork and intellectual property

This is the most important clause in these terms.

By sending us artwork you confirm that you own it, or you have the right to have it reproduced. That includes logos, brand names, photographs, illustrations, fonts, sporting club marks, and anything else in the file.

You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss or cost arising from us printing artwork you supplied — including claims of copyright, trade mark or design infringement, defamation, or breach of privacy.

We may decline any artwork at our discretion, including artwork that appears to infringe someone else's rights, or that is unlawful, hateful, or obscene. If we decline after you have paid, we refund you in full.

You keep all rights in your artwork. We use it only to produce your order. We may show finished work in our own portfolio or marketing — if you would rather we didn't, just tell us and we won't.

We keep uploaded files for a reasonable period so you can reorder, then delete them.

5. Mockups and approval

On custom apparel orders we send a free mockup before printing. Once you approve a mockup, we print exactly what is on it. Please check placement, print size, spelling and colour carefully. We are not responsible for errors you approved.

If you order without supplying artwork, production does not begin until we receive a usable file from you. Turnaround times run from artwork approval, not from the order date.

6. Colour

Screens vary and DTF printing has its own colour range. We reproduce colour as accurately as the process allows, but we cannot guarantee an exact match to what you see on your monitor, or to a Pantone reference, unless we have agreed that in writing first. Order a sample if exact colour is critical.

7. Production and delivery

Our published turnaround times are estimates made in good faith and start from artwork approval. Delivery times are Australia Post estimates and are outside our control. See our Shipping Policy.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

8. Pressing transfers

Press-ready transfers are applied by you, using your own equipment, on your own garments. We publish tested settings in our Press Instructions, but presses, garments and technique vary. We are not responsible for garments damaged during pressing, or for transfers that fail because they were pressed outside the published settings. Always test one piece before a production run.

10. Liability

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes those guarantees, or any other right you have that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim connected with an order is limited to replacing the goods or refunding what you paid for them. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost contracts, or the cost of garments you supplied or bought elsewhere.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The version published on this page when you place your order is the version that applies to that order.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, and the courts of South Australia have jurisdiction.
