Print sizes on kids sizes

• Our standard print sizes are set for adult garments. On sizes 6–10 we scale the artwork down so it sits in proportion — a chest logo lands around 7–8 cm wide rather than 10 cm
• Want it a specific size? Put the measurement in the notes and we will match it, or say so on the mockup
• The mockup we email shows the print at true scale on the size you ordered, so nothing is a surprise

Print positions on a hoodie

• The hood lies flat across the top of the back, so back prints sit below it — a full back print starts just under the hood
• A full front print sits above the kangaroo pocket
• Chest, sleeve and lower back all print normally

Print & care

We print with DTF (direct-to-film) — full colour, no colour limit, no setup fee. Our transfers are tested for 50+ washes when pressed and cared for as directed.

• Wash inside out, cold or warm (max 40°C), gentle cycle
• No bleach, no fabric softener on the print
• Hang dry, or tumble dry low
• Iron inside out only — never directly on the print
• Leave 24 hours before the first wash

Artwork

• Best files: PNG with a transparent background, or vector — AI, EPS, PDF or SVG. These print exactly as supplied
• JPGs, screenshots and photos of a logo are still accepted. If the background has to be cut out an artwork fee may apply — we always quote before we start and you can approve or decline
• Text only — a club name, player names or a slogan? Type it into the notes on this page and we set it for free
• 300 DPI at the final print size
• Minimum line thickness 0.5 mm so fine detail holds
• White in your artwork prints as white ink — if you want the garment colour to show through, make it transparent
• Up to 20 MB per file through the uploader; larger files, just email them

Size guide

All measurements in centimetres. Chest is a half-chest measurement — taken across the garment laid flat, not around your body. Sizes are kids sizes, roughly matching age in years.

Size 14 measures 52 cm half chest and the adult XS measures 55 cm, so a big teenager who is between the two is usually better off in the adult F03. Blue Whale publishes a chest measurement for this style and not a body length. If you need the length before you commit, email us and we will measure one off the shelf for you.

How to measure: lay a hoodie the child already wears flat. Measure straight across from side seam to side seam, 2.5 cm below where the sleeve meets the body — that is the half-chest. A fleecy hoodie is worn over a tee, so this is a roomy fit by design.

Sizing and returns: printed garments are made to order, so we cannot accept change-of-mind returns or size swaps. We will replace or refund anything with a print or garment fault.
